HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid In An Education & Care Setting
This course is a skill set combination course designed for childcare first aid workers. It covers the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults, with a focus on asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies. This course meets the requirements of “First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis” under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulation (2011).
We offer this course in an express version, it includes all the same information, but we have condensed the learning so you can complete the material in a shorter time with more engaged learning scenarios. You can complete the express version even if you have not completed this course before as we ensure we have time at the beginning and end for any questions.

Course Requirements:
- Book online.
- Complete online training (prior to course date).
- Sign up for a FREE USI.
- Attend the 60-minute face-to-face practical training and instruction session.
Entry Requirements:
Participants must have the physical capacity to perform 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor on an adult, child and baby.
Course Delivery:
This course is delivered in the workplace or at a Local First Aid Courses training facility.
Course Duration:
Enhanced safe delivery: 60 minutes + 3 hours self-paced online learning.

Provider of Training and Assessment:
This childcare first aid course is delivered and assessed by Local First Aid Courses in partnership and under the auspice of ABC Training Pty Ltd RTO 3399.

What You Will Receive:
On successful completion of the course, you will receive a soft copy of a first aid certificate that is valid for 3 years from the course completion date.

In cases where less than 48 hours notice of cancellation or reschedule is provided, the full course fee may be charged (this also includes no shows).
